We are a Gospel-centred, Reformed, Presbyterian church that is part of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria (PCV).
We are a group of ordinary people who love Jesus and who want to live lives that praise and glorify Him, because everything is all about Jesus. We are not perfect in any way, but rejoice that in Jesus, we can have hope and joy – not because of who we are ourselves, but because of what Jesus has done for us, and what He promises for anyone who believes in Him:
– For we believe that Jesus died for us on the cross, taking on the punishment for sin that we deserved; that Jesus was then resurrected back to life, proving that His sacrifice truly paid our penalty in full; and that Jesus now resides in heaven, interceding on our behalf before God the Father, having sent God’s Holy Spirit as our promised Helper.
– And Jesus promises eternal life together with Him for anyone who believes in Him and who turns from their disobedience towards God, where we are free from God’s wrath and punishment against sin.
Our aim is to bring people to Jesus, and the hope and certainty that is found in Him. We want to grow people to Christ-like maturity (Colossians 1:28), being equipped for ministry in the church (2 Timothy 3:16-17), so that in whatever we may do, God may be glorified (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Sunday Worship
We are located at 89 Main Road, Campbells Creek, meeting in the main hall of Olivet Christian College.
Our Sunday service is at 10am, and all are welcome. During the service, we gather together to sing songs to God, pray to God, and hear God’s Word, the Bible, preached, in a relaxed and informal setting. There is a mix of people of various ages and backgrounds at the service, including children and babies, and we don’t mind if kids make a bit of noise during the service, because the sound of kids is the sound of life!
Bible Studies
We currently have two Bible studies meeting: one on Wednesday evenings at 6pm, and the other on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-12.
In our Bible studies, we want to grow disciples of Jesus in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, folowing the Great commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’
